I have never expected to speak in front of people about makeup. I did not study makeup at some academy and I do not have a diploma for professional makeup artistry. I am self taught and am continuing to learn about makeup, but I do have a lot to share, and the people at Waterfront that believed in me, who I am very much grateful to, made that dream come true.
I just started my blog earlier this year with a pictures of me doing my makeup, a little bit of tutorials and all that kind of stuff. It was a fun hobby for me whenever I have free time from watching over my son. A lot of people started asking me about products that I use, where I bought them, how to apply them, and other things, which I am very glad to answer, until I got requests to do videos. I'm very skeptical at first because I really feel that I don't look that good on videos and I don't have the equipment too.
But I guess that, if you really want it, it will be given to you. I was then invited to Waterfront Lahug for my first ever makeup talk. I really had so much fun there too. I also did makeup on a number of clients some days of the week after that, and now that I am starting to do videos, I hope I helped girls that are looking to learn more about makeup, because makeup to me is my art.
I am forever grateful to the people who believe in me.
In the following video, I am going to be showing you how I did my makeup for the event. It's a simple and quick look which is neutral and appropriate for day wear if you are to attend lunch events or afternoon parties.
